Welcome to SUHI soccer!

Lady Devils South Bay League Champions for the first time in school history! The team also made history by winning their first playoff game ever on 2/23/10. The Red Devils defeated the Mesa League Champion Hilltop Lancers in PK's 5-4. The team will continue their journey as they take on Rancho Bernardo HS on Friday 2/26 at 5pm. See you there!

The Varsity soccer team has repeated as Champions at the Lady Vaquero Classic! The team defeated Santana 3-0 in the semi-finals then defeated Mater Dei 2-1 in the finals thanks to goals by Tami Rojas and Zahyra Valdovinos. Althought the game looked tight on the scoreboard, on the field it was a different story. The Red Devils dominated every aspect of the game, but missed at least six one on one opportunities with the Mater Dei keeper. The Red Devils defense allowed only 2 goals in four games while scoring 12. Congratulations ladies! Here's a story on the team on XK San Diego website.

Here are the minimum requirements to participate.

  • 2.0 G.P.A. on the 10/31 report card
  • be cleared by the ASB
  • not be on the debt list

What Every Parent Should Know

  • The teams practice Monday-Friday from 3pm-5pm (except when school is not in session. On those days, times will be announced).
  • There will be soccer practice during Christmas vacation. A schedule of mandatory practices will be given to each athlete prior to the break.
  • If your child misses practice, they don't play. Multiple absences will lead to dismissal from the team.
  • All athletes must maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. to participate in athletics.
  • The head coach makes the final decision on all matters that pertain to the team.
 

2008 Banquet a Success
